Yeah! I'm super excited! Over the summer I applied for a Folk and Traditional Arts Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board and I recently learned that I got the grant! THANK YOU to the panel!
The grant will allow me to give a workshop on Scots Gaelic song and present four Scots Gaelic song concerts throughout Minnesota along with piper Dick Hensold. One of the concerts will be filmed and the songs will be released via youtube for a larger audience to enjoy.
I will be posting a lot more about my work with the grant and I'm looking forward to sharing lots of pics, videos, music and research!
